Thank You for Contributing to Our #SewSomeGratitude Campaign
June 10th, 2020
In response to the global face mask shortage in the wake of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Gary Sinise Foundation launched the #SewSomeGratitude campaign on April 27, and the response from our community was overwhelming. Since its launch, people from across the country utilized their DIY skills and sent 2,770 homemade masks to the Foundation!
We distributed these masks to health care workers risking their lives on the frontlines of the global health pandemic and distributed them to our network, including H.O.P.E. families, Serving Heroes locations, R.I.S.E. families, VFW’s, and others. We are "sew" grateful for the continued support and contributions made by all of you. This campaign truly captured the spirit of our Founder and Chairman, Gary Sinise, who always reminds us, “While we can never do enough for our defenders and their loved ones, we can always do a little more.”
