We Were Just Named a Four Star Charity!

April 17th, 2018

The Gary Sinise Foundation is now listed on Charity Navigator and has received a FOUR star rating!

Charity Navigator has become one of the largest evaluators of non-profits. After seven years, an organization becomes eligible to receive a rating based on two essential criteria: financial health and accountability/transparency. The Gary Sinise Foundation is humbled and honored to have received exceptionally high ratings in both. It is our goal to serve as a trusted resource for our donors.

About four years ago, my wife and I were interested in doing more for our military veterans. After research, we became aware of the Gary Sinise Foundation. With my building history I started my involvement with their R.I.S.E. program.  My experience with the Foundation has offered me the opportunity to truly understand the hardships our wounded veterans endure. The organization has provided me key insight as to what they do for the men and women who have fought for our country.

It is because of the passion and generosity of our individual donors as well as our corporate and non-profit partners that we are able to make a positive impact on our nation’s defenders, the loved ones that stand beside them, and the families left behind.

I’d like to congratulate the Gary Sinise Foundation. We [Veterans United Foundation] are so honored to work with an organization to make a difference in our veterans’ lives and their families.

Your belief in our mission has played an integral role in our achievements through our outreach programs. As our efforts have grown each year, so has our Gary Sinise Foundation family. Our family is made up of selfless heroes, donors, volunteers, and a dedicated staff. Each role is vital to our success and we cherish them deeply.

After I was severely wounded in Iraq in 2007, I had a long road to recovery. The Gary Sinise Foundation built my specially adapted home in Georgia. And in 2018 I came on full-time as a Military & Veteran Resource Manager for the Foundation. Now my job is to find resources for the veteran community.
