Tyler Huffman Before Being Shot

Tyler's Incredible Story of Bravery & Patriotism

Retired U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Tyler Huffman was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. On December 3rd of that year, Tyler was shot twice in the chest by an enemy sniper, leaving him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.

Tyler’s selfless service and love of his country are an inspiration. “Freedom is not free,” he says. “It has a price. It always has and always will.” Every day he remains grateful to be an American, saying, “We are the greatest and most blessed nation and we take too many things for granted. If Americans had a clue what it was like to live in other parts of the world, we would truly realize what a blessed nation we really are.” Tyler and his family currently live in their custom specially adapted smart home in Jefferson City, MO.
