It’s been more than two years since we lost our son Mac, on January 5, 2024 to the rare orphan cancer, Chordoma. I know that he was so proud to have completed his first album, Resurrection & Revival which went to press the week he died. Afterwards I began going through his files and discovered enough of his unreleased music to produce a second album, Resurrection & Revival: Part Two.

I thought that might be everything.

Then last spring I clicked on a file I had never seen before.

It was called “Southern Grind.” A bluesy southern rock track that completely surprised me. As I kept digging through Mac’s recordings, emails, and journals, I realized it wasn’t the only hidden piece of music. There were piano ideas he had tucked away, melodies recorded into his phone, pages of lyrics, and unfinished songs waiting to be brought to life.

Before long it became clear there was enough for another album.

So we gathered Mac’s friends and collaborators and went back into the studio. His ideas are at the heart of each of the 31 compositions on this 3 disc album.

In the liner notes of the album, I’ve shared the intimate stories behind the making of each song—a father’s journey to connect with his late son.

Resurrection & Revival: Part Three is Mac’s music, his creativity, and the love of the friends who helped finish what he started.

I miss Mac more than I could ever express. But finding more of his music has been a true gift, and it’s meant a lot to bring these songs into the world.
