Suzy Pence

Suzy Pence

Suzy Pence has enjoyed participating in the educational, philanthropic, cultural, and political affairs of the Washington DC region for over 40 years.

Suzy received both her undergraduate degree and a Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland. She worked for a brief time as a reference librarian before joining her husband Bob’s real estate development business. Suzy remained in this role until retiring to move to Finland where Bob serves as the United States Ambassador.

Suzy is a Board Member of the Vice President’s Residence Foundation. The foundation focuses on preserving and furnishing the home of the vice president and his family. She is also a member of the board of Constituting America, an organization with the objective of promoting the teachings of the United States Constitution. In addition to her role of serving the vice president and overseeing Constituting America, Suzy is also a member of the International Committee of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The committee’s main objective is to promote understanding through cultural exchanges.

The Pence family’s close relationship with the Gary Sinise Foundation dates back to the beginning of the organization’s work with veterans. Suzy considers the work of the foundation and her relationship to it to be the highlight of her professional career.
