Susan J. Miller

Susan Miller is a Senior Director of Global Product Security, Technical Oversight & Reporting at Oracle. Susan has experienced a 30+ year career. Throughout her Oracle career, Susan has served in numerous senior leadership roles. In her role, Susan is responsible for oversight and reporting on security across all Oracle products and cloud services. Prior to her time at Oracle, Susan was an executive at Sun Microsystem and led organizations of over 100 employees, including Security, Release Engineering, Labs, Documentation and Program Management.

Susan has several years of experience on boards, including currently serving on The Bright App board and the North San Diego Business Chamber board as Chair of the Nominations Committee. Susan also participates as Vice President of Strategic Planning as Board Member for the Project Management Institute, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for the Gary Sinise Foundation San Diego Chapter.

With extensive knowledge of IT (BSCS, MSCSE-AI, awards), Security (CISSP, CISM), Privacy (CIPT), executive management (PMP + years of leadership), finance (MBA), volunteerism (OWL), and board experience, Susan provides a well-rounded background to advise on technical issues, assessing a board’s concern of business impact. Working for GTE Government Systems, Susan worked in a Top Secret environment for several years, running over $12M contracts.

Susan has participated in mentoring and several recruiting activities for top talent within emerging leaders and won several awards for others with whom she works. Susan has moderated CISO Panels, contributed as a panelist at CyberSecurity conferences, and moderated and joined Women Leadership conference panels. Susan has lived in San Diego since 1999, enjoys physical exercise, gardening, her husband, and three children, ages 27, 23, and 19.
