Ways to Give: What is the Combined Federal Campaign?

Giving back through charity is one of the best ways that we can help our fellow Americans. We are living in hard times, and charitable support give us the opportunity to take care of each other.
Fortunately, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) allows federal civilian, postal and military donors to contribute through direct payment automatically withdrawn from their paychecks. The mission of the CFC is to promote giving through a program that is cost-efficient and provides all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for so many in need. With donations being withdrawn before employees receive their take home pay, they are less likely to notice a financial deduction, but can still feel good knowing they are enriching the lives of others. Retirees and survivors are also eligible to donate through the CFC.
For those who want to take advantage of this unique giving opportunity, the time is to act is NOW! This year’s CFC campaign ends on December 15.
CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign. Approximately 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally are a part of this program. The CFC has raised more than $8.2 billion for charitable organizations since it was formed in 1957, according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
For those who wish to make a one-time gift or are not interested in payroll deduction, credit card and ACH transfers are also available. All donations are tax deductible. In most cases, there is no limit on the maximum contribution you can donate. If you elect payroll as your funding source, your payroll provider may still have a cap on your annual election.
