Hello everyone!
Today, we just wanted to take a quick moment to talk about employer gift matching. Did you know many employers will match your charitable contributions?
Employers enrolled in Matching Gift Programs not only support employees and retirees in their personal philanthropy and fundraising efforts, but match the individual contributions of their employees to social services, education, environmental organizations, museums, and more. There are few better ways to increase the positive community impact a single person can make!
For example, our friends over at Boeing offer a Matching Gift program and will match dollar-for-dollar, every personal donation of more than $25 their employees and retirees make to the Gary Sinise Foundation. That's a pretty big deal. We're talking about doubling the difference we can make in the lives of our defenders.
Your employer might already have such a program, so we urge you to talk to your human resources department to see if you are eligible for a Matching Gifts program before you make a donation. If they ask for our Tax ID number, it's 80-587086.
