Rockin for the Troops' 2011 Report
July 25th, 2011
Hey everyone. Just a quick note about our last show.
I’m proud to report that Rockin’ For The Troops 2011 was a huge success. Many thanks to Operation Support Our Troops America for once again inviting the band out to Wheaton, IL and an extra big thank you to everyone who packed Cantigny Park. We had an incredible turnout!
For me, the highlight of the evening was the 10,000 Points of Light tribute. At the end of our set, we dimmed the lights and asked everyone to raise up their cellphones and LED candles. What I saw from the stage was breathtaking. A sea of glowing lights, waving in the night.
This was our tribute to our defenders, to the memory or those we lost on September 11, 2001, and a celebration of the powerful American spirit which continues to burn bright in spite of those who would try to push us into the dark.

It was so moving. What a crowd. What a night.
Best of all, your generous donations and merchandise purchases helped make this show possible. And the funds raised from the concert will be contributed toward the construction of Cpl. John Peck's new, custom-designed home. So, one final thank you -- to you.
Next Stop: Our show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the EAA AirVenture Aviation Celebration sponsored by The Disabled American Veterans. Stay tuned and God bless.
Your pal,
-Gary
