Kim joined the Gary Sinise Foundation in July 2014 and is currently the Assistant Manager of Human Resources. She was born in Seoul, Korea, where she holds dual citizenship and was adopted by her dad, who retired from the Air Force. She followed in his footsteps and enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from high school. Kim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Strayer University with a BBA and MBA in Human Resource Management. She has over 15 years of federal service as a Personnel Technician in the military and Human Resources Specialist in Staffing, Position Classification and Regional Employee Education & Training/Development Manager in civil service.
It has been Kim’s lifelong belief in treating others how you want to be treated that has enriched her life in ways she never thought possible, ultimately culminating in the distinct honor and privilege to work for and with Gary Sinise at the Gary Sinise Foundation. She especially cherishes the chance to give back to the service members, fellow veterans, first responders and their families, all of which are also represented within her own family members that are retired and currently in the Air Force, Army, Navy, and New Orleans Police.
