Suzy Rose

Suzy grew up in Southern California and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her degree at California State University, Northridge. She earned her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Communication. She began working with the Gary Sinise Foundation in 2016 as a Development Coordinator. Her background and experience quickly put her on the path to grant writing for the Foundation. Suzy worked as Foundation Relations & Grants Manager for the Gary Sinise Foundation for two years. She now supports the External Relations department in strengthening and tailoring engagement with GSF’s volunteer leadership.

Prior to joining the team, Suzy worked in the hospitality industry for many years. What she enjoyed most about her time in the industry was connecting with people and growing her leadership role in the corporate training program.

Suzy has a passion for helping others and is extremely proud to work for the Gary Sinise Foundation, supporting our nation’s brave defenders and their loved ones. She says the memory of her late grandfather, a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, has given her a deep connection to the Foundation’s mission, “I am extremely moved by the impact that all of our programs have on the lives of our nation’s heroes, especially Soaring Valor because it would have meant the world to my grandfather to have experienced the care and appreciation that participants receive for their war efforts and sacrifices.”
