In March 2020, Marielle joined the Gary Sinise Foundation as the PR and Communications Manager. Marielle is responsible for developing and managing PR strategies and media relations for the Gary Sinise Foundation, and, in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications Director, developing and evaluating the Foundation’s overarching annual communications plan.
Marielle graduated with honors from Northwestern University. Marielle previously managed communications and PR programs for: GoGuardian (named the fastest growing education company in the U.S. by Inc. magazine), Rubicon Project, and billionaire investor Ron Burkle, a recognized leader in the Los Angeles community and Chairman of the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations.
Marielle is thrilled to be returning to where her passion lies in the non-profit sector, as she started her career working in fundraising for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s charity After-School All-Stars and Norman Lear’s non-profit People For the American Way. The tremendous work of the Gary Sinise Foundation to honor our nation’s defenders truly speaks to Marielle, as she comes from a long line of military service members, with both of her grandfathers serving in WWII and her grandmother serving as a nurse in the navy.
