Gavin Treese

Gavin Treese joined the Gary Sinise Foundation in January 2021 as the Impact Assessment Manager. Coming from a military family with both parents serving in the Army for a collective 34 years, Gavin joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 2005, serving as a helicopter airframe mechanic for four years at Camp Pendleton, CA. Gavin was awarded the United States Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Mobilization device for being activated in support of operation Mojave Viper in 29 Palms, CA in 2006.

Having the experience of active-duty service, Gavin was motivated to continue serving on active duty. He transferred from the Marine Corps to the Army in 2009 and underwent training to be an Airborne Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon completing Airborne School, Gavin was quickly deployed to Afghanistan, where he carried out combat missions as a Team Leader. He deployed to Afghanistan a second time in 2012, leading soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Division as a Squad Leader and receiving the Combat Infantry Badge. Returning home, Gavin volunteered for U.S. Army Recruiting school, where he graduated on the Commandants List.

During Gavin’s three years as a recruiter in Ventura County, CA, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in business management at Post University. After serving 14 years in the military, Gavin secured his first civilian profession at LinkedIn as a Sales Development Representative.

Gavin is driven to serve our nation’s defenders, first responders, and their families. Through his service at the Gary Sinise Foundation, Gavin has the privilege of directly impacting the lives of his fellow service members and is striving to “Always do a little more.”
