Welcome to the first Chapter of the Gary Sinise Foundation, the Central Florida Chapter.
Since its founding in June 2011, the Gary Sinise Foundation has supported service members, veterans, first responders, and their families all over the world. To provide a more targeted approach to ensuring our nation's heroes and their loved ones are met with the right resources and services, the Foundation will soon have a presence in regions across the country, starting in Central Florida. This will be the first of many chapters that will extend the philanthropy of Gary Sinise and the footprint of the Foundation.
Florida is home to the third-largest veteran population in the country, with more than 1.5 million retired service members. In Central Florida, its counties include nearly 1 million veterans. These heroes, like our first responders, service members, and their families, need our support more than ever. By facilitating the resources for training, equipment, and inspiration, they can live and work to the best of their ability and continue to be productive citizens in our community. The Central Florida Chapter, like those to come in other regions of the country, will complement the efforts of the Foundation, catalyzing a greater impact in the lives of our nation's heroes and their families.
If you missed the Gary Sinise Foundation Central Florida Chapter launch on Saturday, be sure to watch the full event video below! Take this opportunity to share your enthusiasm for supporting Central Florida service members, first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, and their families. The event featured our Founder and Chairman, Gary Sinise, members of the Central Florida Chapter, hometown heroes from the Central Florida community, and Summer Knowles from WESH 2 News.
“The Central Florida Chapter of the Gary Sinise Foundation Board members were chosen for their selfless dedication and service to our community, veterans, first responders, and non-profits. The Board is comprised of a mix of backgrounds that complement each other, both professionally and personally. I am proud to work alongside this strong group of individuals who will jointly oversee the activities of the Central Florida Chapter. Please join me in welcoming them to the Gary Sinise Foundation family!”

"With the addition of our very first chapter in Orlando, all of us at the Gary Sinise Foundation are excited to extend our impact across the country to raise greater awareness of our mission at a regional level. Serving, honoring and raising the spirits of our nation's defenders and their families is the heartbeat of everything we do at the Foundation. By enlisting the support of the American people in communities across the country, particularly where future regional chapters may be located, we'll be able to further expand our outreach and increase the Foundation's support of our nation's service members, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need."
