Cpl. Todd LoveTodd Love was point man on foot patrol in Afghanistan on the morning of Oct. 25,
2010, when he triggered an IED causing him to lose both his legs and ultimately his left
arm. In an interview, Todd recalls that after the blast his legs were completely blown off
and his fellow Marines found him 15 feet away. Still, incredibly Todd maintained a
sense of humor. When asked about his injuries he jokingly replied, “I was on the search
team sweeping for mines…I guess I found them!” Full Bio

Army SFC Michael SchlitzSchlitz and his crew were in the southern Baghdad area doing a basic road-clearing mission in 2007. The mission was to find the IEDs. Schlitz states, “There’s only two ways that happens: either it finds you or you find it first. Unfortunately, it found us that day.” Two artillery shells attached to a propane tank went off and destroyed Schlitz’s truck, killed his driver, gunner and medic and threw him away from the blast with his entire body on fire. Building for America’s Bravest™. All soldiers encounter difficulty returning to their lives as civilians, but multiple amputees face the incredible challenge of this adjustment without their limbs. Together with Tunnel to Towers Foundation, we’re helping to construct customized smarthomes for America’s most severely injured veterans.
Together, we’ve already helped to build a home for Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco. Check out this video below to learn more.
