Fort Rucker Freedom Fest 2012

Tuesday July 3, 2012

About Freedom Fest 2012

Join us in the celebration of our nation’s Independence at Fort Rucker’s Festival Fields on July 3rd from 3:30 pm to 10 pm for a day of food, activities, exhibits and fun, culminating in one of the area’s largest fireworks shows.

Enjoy static aircraft displays, an inflatable fun zone, food and merchandise vendors, and so much more. The 98th Army Silver Wings band will kick off the evening’s musical festivities followed by country music star Natalie Stovall. Ms. Stovall will bring a little down-home Alabama feel. Back for a second Freedom Fest tour of duty, headlining the evening’s show is Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band.

Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and kick back and enjoy the show. With over 20,000 people attending this annual event, this is the party of all parties and no party is complete without fireworks. Family & MWR is proud to offer one of the largest displays in the area. Join us this July as we celebrate Freedom Fest 2012. This event is FREE and open to the public. For more information please call Family & MWR at 334-255-1749.

Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band

The Lt. Dan Band covers everything from Stevie Wonder to contemporary songs by Kelly Clarkson, Evanescence, Beyonce, Lonestar, the Zac Brown Band and much much more. Even tunes from the 40’s big band era. There’s something for everyone and each show highlights the musical diversity of the band, as well as the passion and energy each member brings to the stage. Whether performing for troops overseas or a local club crowd, the goal is to have fun and rock the house!
